Peter Rochfort, Founder & Director

Peter Rochfort has been providing industrial relations and employment advice for over 38 years. Peter began his career as a Patrol Officer and Assistant District Officer in Papua New Guinea, coincidentally with his studying law.

Peter's first exposure to workplace relations came in the transport industry when he was the Australian Road Transport Federation’s Executive Director over a 12 year period. During this time, Peter negotiated on behalf of transport operators and was able to reach favourable outcomes in some of the most recognisable industrial disputes in Australia.

Peter was one of the first Industrial Advocates to provide independent industrial relations advice and representation to both employers and employees and, as such, he is well recognised as a thought leader in Industrial Relations.

Lesley Evans, Director

Lesley Evans, Director

Lesley Evans has extensive experience in human resources management and Workplace Health and Safety gained through a career spanning over 35 years. Many of those were spent at HR Director level across small, medium and large enterprises in a diverse range of industries and as Managing Director of HR Savvy.

Lesley’s strength is her proactive approach to Human Resources. She sees problems in terms of their cause not just their manifestation, and finds ways to effectively resolve them.

Such an approach has afforded her the opportunity to create and implement a range of innovative HR & WHS initiatives with the fundamental aim of business improvement, minimising cost wherever possible and increasing employee productivity.

Mel Broadway, Workplace Relations Advisor

Mel Broadway, Workplace Relations Advisor

Mel Broadway is a highly qualified human resources practitioner with a degree in psychology majoring in organisational behaviour.

With over 10 years of experience in senior HR management positions in large multinational organisations in Australia and the UK, Mel can assist in all aspects of the employment lifecycle.

Mel can advise you on performance appraisal, disciplinary matters and termination disputes, as well workers compensation and injury management issues.  She is experienced in Award interpretation can assist in complex claims of underpayment of wages.  Mel can also tailor policies and procedures specifically to meet client needs, including the creation of entire Employment Handbooks to compliment contracts of employment.
